Having a web designer with a mission planted on your mind other than promoting the business is synonymous with problems. A few days ago we reviewed the source code of a website that has failed to position itself in search engines. The designer had created a sophisticated code block to display the page text. In addition to being unnecessary, this style of programming made the text invisible to Google's eyes, which is a terrible mistake when what you are trying to do is promote customer products and services.
Just like this case, we could talk about hundreds of sites where sophisticated design techniques have been implemented that are not appropriate for promoting products and services on the Internet. The list is huge, endless. Unfortunately, there are many more sites designed with these "special techniques" than those produced by applying best practices in web design. Designing a useful and effective website is not an easy task, but it does not have to be complex either. We simply must focus our efforts so that the site speaks the language of the search engines, instead of devising how to use those tags and functions that we have found in a manual to make life easier for us designers when creating and maintaining the website. . All our creativity must be focused on an important mission: to help our clients promote their products and services on the Internet through a website that speaks the language of the main search engines.
